How we choose events

ArtsCal.org is a curated calendar, not a list of everything happening. Here is how we decide what goes in.

What we list

• Major venues, such as concert halls, theaters and arenas.
• Listening rooms, where the music is the point.
• Festivals and other special arts events.

What we do not list yet

We do not list restaurants and bars in general. Listening-room shows at bars and restaurants are listed when the music is the point.

Have a special event?

If you run a restaurant, bar or club and have a listening-room show or special event you would like us to consider, please ask us. Send the event name, date, venue and a link. We read every request, though we cannot promise to list everything.

More

Listings come from the venues' own public calendars and are checked by a person. We do not take payment for listings and we do not promise any ranking. See information for artists and venues.
